The summer is basically here and its about the perfect time to consider buying a nice new pair of Sandals to go with your summery attire. Birkenstock Mayari are a great choice. As you may know, Birkenstock are one of the top brands when it comes to women's sandals. They are very well made, comfortable, and won't leave a huge dent in your spending budget.

 

Birkenstock Mayari have a classic twin buckle design, but also have a toe loop to give them that little bit of extra style and secure fitting. Some women find the toe loop uncomfortable, while others love it. If you are one of the people who finds it irritating, perhaps a pair of Papillio Pisa would suit you better.

 

The footbed on the Mayari is made from Cork, which has good flexibility and has some bounce. Which is one of the reasons why these sandals are so comfortable to wear for long durations. The sole has an excellent, fairly deep lugged grip for a sandal. These are not your average pair of "Flip Flops".

 

They are much better made than that. As you will experience first hand that you have owned a pair for a while and they haven't fell apart!. The most popular colours are Black and Mocca Nubuk (Pictured). 

Lots of other colours are available: White, Pink, Silver and various shades of Black. There are two different width fittings to choose from: Regular and Narrow. If you have wider feet you would most probably want to get a pair of the regular.

Also bear in mind, the Mayari come fairly big in size. Although Birkenstocks are made to be spacious, some women have expressed the need to go for a full size smaller than what they usually wear and have stated that it was the right choice in order to achieve an optimum fit.

Really nice pair of Birkenstock Papillio "Pisa" Sandals. Perfect footwear for the warm weather. Sandals offer some of the best breathability available. The Birkenstock Papillio design, with their floral patterning, go really well with most summer clothing. They have an EVA sole, which is soft but hard wearing, and a soft, flexible Cork footbed. Furthermore, they have a Birko-Flor upper and a thin leather, fixed innersole.

 

Please note: At the surface, some of the customer reviews for these sandals don't look too positive. However, if you read them all, like we have, you will notice a pattern that most of the negative reviews come from customers not being aware that these sandals come large (wide) in size. Some reviewers even admit it was their fault for not reading the description thoroughly. 

So be aware, these sandals are ideally suited for women who have wide feet. If you have wide feet then these should be perfect. A really nice pair of high quality Birkenstock Papillio sandals.

Women's Merrell Natalya Boots UK. If there was a competition for which boots looked the most sturdy and durable, Merrell Natalya would win hands down. They look like a pair of boots fit for climbing Mountains. A lot of similar boots from different brands that fall within the same price range have 200 grams of internal insulation. That amount of lining is well enough to keep the feet and lower legs nice and warm in most cold weather conditions. Merrell Natalya have 300 grams of internal insulation (Fleece lined).

 

 

So, I think we can safely say that Merrell Natalya are one of the warmest pairs of boots out of all the high-end winter boots. However, the lining has been designed in a way so that it doesn't feel like your carrying any extra load. Even though they are strong, durable boots, they are lightweight. That aspect has been kept to a minimum. 

 

They also have many of the M Select features exclusive to Merrell that are usually found in their hiking footwear, so they don't just look the part, they are a very capable pair of boots. The selection of colours available is fairly wide. They come in Cinnamon, Midnight, Falcon (Dark Brown), and Brown. Needless to say, the uppers are leather.

 

Unlike a lot of the other high quality winter boots for women, having the zip up sides can be very helpful if you have big calf's and need to create a little more room. Just leave them slightly unzipped. The zip function also helps when putting the boots on or taking them off. Merrell Natalya look great with skinny jeans, and also wider jeans, which can be tucked in or left long.

From most accounts the sizing can be quite generous. And this is something you should take into account before buying a pair of Merrell Natalya. Luckily, they are available in most half sizes so you shouldn't go far wrong. 

 

Are they waterproof

Even though they have the M-Select DRY feature incorporated, one potential disappointment with these boots is that there are a few reports of them not being fully waterproof. It's only a small minority of reviewers, and most people state they are waterproof, but its something you should be aware of. 

Could it have been a quality control issue that has now been resolved. Possibly. To finish on a positive note: Merrell Natalya have odour prevention built-in (M-Select FRESH), so no smelly boots after a few months of wear!

Timberland Earthkeepers Mount Hope are available in some really nice colours. Black, Tobacco (Pictured below), Taupe, and dark Grey (further below). They are not cheap boots to buy,  but as with all Timberland shoes, the quality is certainly there.

It's the same with most of the top brands of women's winter boots, all the best ones like the Timberlands, Caterpillars (CAT), ECCO and Merrells do cost a pretty penny. But you get what you pay for. Although most reviews of Earthkeepers Mount Hope are positive, some buyers say that these boots come quite small in size. So a full size bigger should be considered for a perfect fit. Other boots that are similar and fall into the same price range are the Merrell Natalya.

Or, if you want to stay loyal to the Timberland brand there are the Timberland EK Willowood, Timberland Mount Holly, and also the Skechers Grand Jams Unlimited, and the Skechers Keepsake - Brrr Boots for those that want to try something different. There is one other low priced pair that are made by Timberland which are aound half the price of most of the other women's Timberland winter boots that are out there for sale, and that is the Timberland Crystal Mountain boots.

If you're looking for an extremely high quality pair of boots you have found them. Ecco Siberia Lite are an exceptional pair of boots in every sense of the word. They have been made to last a long time and provide a high level of comfort and protection from the elements. Perfect for Autumn, Winter, and chilly summer nights. The leather used for the uppers is high quality, as it is with all Ecco footwear. Ecco Siberia Lite are a high cut boot with a thick, snug as a bug style ankle support and protection. The sole is 3cm in height.

The foot insulation offered with Ecco Siberia Lite is substantial, and if you buy a pair, or just happen to try a pair on somewhere you will definitely feel the increased comfort level. Despite the name, Ecco Siberia Lite are considered more of a stylish everyday wear pair of boots rather than an all terrain Siberia trekking mountain climbing combat boot. Besides, they are far too good looking for that. However, they could be worn for more tougher assignments like cold or wet weather hiking. They are also quite well suited for the snow.

Now the title does say sale, and it is correct, these women's Ecco Siberia Lite are being sold in most sizes with a 25% discount. But as you are probably aware, Ecco shoes are quite expensive. But they are very well made and well worth the money. With the discount Ecco Siberia Lite are priced around the hundred pound mark.

They are available in most sizes and in three different colour combinations, some of which are more pricey than others. The colours are brown, Pavement, and dove grey with a purple trim. Usually with shoes or boots some colours look better than others, but this is one of the rare instances where all colours look really nice. Great pair of boots. -Shoestario.

Skechers Keepsakes Brrr Chocolate Or Grey Boots

The Keepsakes Brrr boots are another women's boot made by Skechers that offer great value for money. They have a very nice three button design at the top which is not just for show, it is fully functional. Like a lot of women's boots that Skechers have brought out in recent years, the uppers are made from Suede. They have a soft faux fur lining on the higher part of the boot which covers the lower leg, but this then changes to a fleece as it goes further down, so the wearers feet are nicely insulated and kept warm by fleece.

As mentioned above, they are made from Suede, so they are not fully waterproof. They are veryu similar to the Skechers Grand Jams in that regard. However, if you treat them with a good protective solution they should then be equipped to provide adequate reinforcement from rain and wet conditions in general. Unless conditions are particularly bad. They have a thick gum rubber sole which has a fairly deep side tread.

There are a few issues that you should take into consideration if you're thinking of buying a pair of Skechers Keepsakes Brrr. First off, they come rather big in size, and some women will need to buy a full size bigger than what they usually wear. The second issue, again related to size, but this time it's the width at the top of the boots, the calf's. They also come big (wide) in size.

Apart from is issues mentioned there's not much else to fault them. They are a great pair of boots, really good and affordable for braving the colder seasons. They can vary a little in price depending on size and colour. They are available in black, chocolate, and charcoal (grey). Sizing starts from a UK size 2 and goes up to a UK 8. Most buyers praise these boots for their comfort and low price. And some actually pick these as a cheap alternative to UGG or EMU Stinger boots.

Skechers Grand Jams Unlimited Black Boots. There are so many winter boots from many different brands to choose from. Do you go all out and buy the more expensive pairs, like the Timberland or Merrell boots. Or do you spend half the money and buy a pair within the lower price bracket, like these Skechers Grand Jams Unlimited. The choice is yours, and it really depends on how much you want to spend and what conditions you will generally be using the boots for. That's quite unpredictable in the UK for most people due to the weather being very temperamental. And the same can be said for quite a few American states also.

If you plan to wear the Grand Jams for general everyday wear, and you may get caught in a light shower or bit of mixed bad weather here and there, then these boots will be a good choice. And given the low price, there is a great saving to be made when comparing them to the higher priced examples, like the Timberland Natalya, Timberland Nellie and Timberland Mount Hope. And also Merrell boots.
 

Of course, they don't offer the same level of all round protection from the elements like the boots previously mentioned. But make no mistake, for walking carefully on snow they are also pretty good at keeping your feet warm and dry. The grip on snow is exceptionally good. Read below for more information. And to be fair, the suede uppers are fairly thick so they do offer some resistance to water penetration.

 

 

However, If you're planning on buying these for walking the dog through wet grass everyday, or you are outdoors in wet conditions a lot and require boots that are 100% waterproof, then these Grand Jams are not the best choice. Perhaps are pair of Pajar (View them here) would be better suited. Although considerable more expensive, Pajar are a good investment if you want great insulation and protection when the weather gets really bad.

Skechers Grand Jams Unlimited are not waterproof, and they don't claim to be. They are made of mostly suede so they don't offer the best protection from water. However, you can buy protective sprays that can help make them somewhat waterproof. But that's not guaranteed to be fully effective.

Just because they are not waterproof, all is not lost. They are a very nice, quite funky looking pair of mid calf boots that have a stylish D ring lace design, are lined with faux fur, have three-quarter zip up sides, a high velcro fastening, and they are made by Skechers. So the quality for the price is there. They also have a secret weapon. And that is the Gummi sole.

A sole made using Gummi has a special, sticky-like texture which makes it exceptionally good at sticking to the floor. Perfect for walking on snow and other slippery surfaces. Skechers Grand Jams are available in brown, dark brown, charcoal and black. These boots do come rather big in size so most women should order a size smaller. For the price you won't be disappointed.
